Need help making my wife not get this car

Well as some of you know we have a 6thgen accord. I went to make the payment today and the payment had risen from what originally was agreed on. so my wife decides to go complain and tell them to take the car. instead of her giving the car back they gave her a 2007 PT Cruiser (has a muffler like mine on it as why it has it) and she has it for the weekend to she if she likes it better.


Now i am happy its a newer car but this means the payment plan is 5 years instead of 3 (more money i have to pay not her). I dont really like the car and i know its her car but i still have to drive it, pay for it the insurance and the gas


I just dont like the overall style of the car and the way the interior looks is horrible to me. lots of plastic everywhere and then i opened the hood and what do i see more plastic damn intake manifold is plastic and the engine bay is so small.


im sure there is more and ill add later when i remember

your paying for it. that should be point blank. thats more money out of your pocket and more years you have until its paid off.


if she dont like the 6th gen then tell her to get a car of her own, own her own. you pay for the gas, you pay the insurance and you drive the car. her getting a car thats less reliable than 6th gen is stupid. plus if it has a muffler on it like yours then that means someone who had it before was racing with it.

a PT cruiser and racing. yeah. dont mix. you have no idea what condition the motor is in and 4 months down the road will cause nothing but problems.

So she has this PT Cruiser for the weekend? Some Stealerships consider that as a Committment.

Not sure how she was seduced from a complaint on one car, to now driving a newer car from the same Stealership...

Anyways, if a trade is to be involved which I am sure will happen, you will be "upside down" on the CG. The negative amount will be forwarded to the newer car's payment, thus that newer payment will be higher as well.

Either way, payment is going to be higher.


My suggestion? It's her vehicle. If she likes it, so be it. Whether you drive it, maintain it, wash it, wax it, gas it etc, if she likes it, let her have it.

You have what you like right? Allow her to have what she wants/likes.

i wont be upside down as its a little dealership not a big one. the contract was not through a bank until today which is why the payment went up. i have told her all the stuff that was said and she still likes it.

the guy at the dealership was nice cuz i didnt want the car and was hell bent on it. he said well take it home for the weekend and decide and if i didnt like it by then i just bring it back to them monday.

so she made me drive it last night and boy i can say i really dont like it. the car itself makes me gag and then sitting in it makes me think im in a suv but its as small as a car
