07 Focus Turbo

I helped one of my friends turbo his 07 Focus over the weekend. It's probably the main reason I've decided to go ahead and turbo the Teg but that's another thread.

He's currently hitting 10psi on the factory internals without any issues and I expect to get it up to about 12 psi after some more tuning. I'd estimate it currently around 300-320hp and an unknown insane amount of torque. We got a little more tuning to do and then off to the dyno! I think we'll have some actual numbers for this setup within the next 2-3 weeks. I know it's a focus, but it's pretty freaking fast now! It sounds amazing


BTW, we're going to upgrade the internals, intercooler, and injectors and boost it to about 25 psi within the next year or so

eh..idk i honestly hate focuses...but my old neighbors got a 4 door automatic with 1,410 original miles, she doesn't drive it at all, her hip is done..

Wow 300hp holy hell that thing would be a fun car to drive. How much are yall lookin to make after you blow it apart and put 25 lbs into it?

I know he wants to get it around 600hp and also swap over the all wheel drive setup from the rally focus. We'll see but that's what he wants. I'm just the hired help who does the work

I made fun of him the whole time we were installing the turbo! lol But seriously, it's fast and I understand him wanting to do it. I mean there's people that make fun of us for wanting to turbo our hondas Durring some of the test drives we got comments like "Holy crap is that a Focus?" and "what the hell do you have under the hood of that thing?". Kinda makes it worth it....even though it is a Focus

600hp Holyshit and with AWD. What is he going to use this for?

I know he wants to take it to the drag strip every once in a while, but other than that I don't think he has any official plans. It's already stripped out inside with racing seats and harnesses and I'm trying to talk him into stripping the engine bay too. We want to get it less than 2k lbs with a ton of power under the hood. I guess mainly for bragging rights.

What are the specs on that stock shitbird engine?

If it's an ST it has 151hp and 154lb-ft, if it's not an ST it has 136hp and 136ft-lb. The ST has a 2.3 and the non-ST has a 2.0

So stock it made 136hp and with only 10psi it's making right at 300hp. Wow thats a major improvement over stock. What all did yall put on with the new turbo?

my buddy an his dad builds them an all an they make them damn nasty they had a 04 that had 750hp to the wheels with out the 200 shot of nos so they can be mean.... an that was a auto one not a 5 speed

just the usual turbo stuff necessary. I know we at least doubled the power. I'm expecting around 340-350hp @12 psi and I don't see it being a problem hittin that either. The motor is very responsive to the turbo and the turbo is matched up to the motor very nicely. It's a Garrett T28 .62 which is basically a T3/T4 hybrid (same turbo I'm planning to use on the Teg). It starts spooling around 1800 RPM and goes all the way up to redline. For the time being, revlimit is set to 6k but we might bump that up gradually.

they have a dyno shop here in belmont n.c he is well known for the focus turbo stuff .... i cant think of the web site right now but ill ask him an post it so that yall can look at it an it mite help u out an all
