      Not quite. People use the iron block argument all the time. Conventional wisdom is that the Ka is good to about 350hp, while the all aluminum SR has been boosted to 400HP. Ka's also blow more often, due to inexperienced tuning and people pushing the limits. The main weakness on the SR is the HG, and rod bearings. Again depends on the goal. The KA has a signifigantly narrower power band and its torque is down low. I'm aware that with head work and I believe the crower V2's you can make the KA rev almost to 8K so they say.

      At the end of the day its a close call and if we apply the no replacement for displacement theory here(more torque shit i always here) then the KA should absolutely floor the SR. It doesn't. Cost wise the decision is pretty simple. I cannot dispute this. Even though the SR swaps are getting cheaper because of JDM whoring trend if you just want to make a 240 faster for the street , bang for buck type of deal then the KA is the obvious winner. Any serious prospects then they will both cost $$

          i have been in a ka and sr 240 on the road course and both cars had similar suspension and engine power, but the sr handled way better than the ka 240. that why i prefer the sr to the ka because that it the kind of racing i want to do with it. i am however going to rebuild my ka for a street car. ams is like 15 min from my house and the nine sec 240 is sick.
