Mechanically, and engineering wise, I think this car is absolutely stunning. The styling is growing on me, especially in black, and with people standing next to it a real perspective photo, it looks far less bulky. Not real fond of the grill, but I will wait to reserve judgement in person. Many have said pics don't do it justice, and I have noticed this with the last TL, which looks good in pics, but oh so much better in person. I think this car will not look as tall and skinny in person.

The interior with the tech package (milano leather) is absolutely stunning.

Overall, I like a lot of the designs. You can't reasonably expect the same old same old. Acura and Honda have ALWAYS been accused of anonymous design, which is a hindrence in this category where people WANT to be noticed.

I am going to venture that sales will do very well given economic conditions, just like uglier Bimmers sold more cars. Why? They were more distinctive.

Besides, styling is subjective, not objective.

I like the overall redesign of the car minus the front grille. They could slim it down a bit I think it looks like a bottle opener.

Pop a cold one off the front and call it a day. The TSX's are still growing on me though.

It could look better in other colors. Also pictures don't do justice to some cars, you'll have to see it on the road.

They made the back look like the front, and it reminds me of the decepticons! Looks like one of the designers was a big transformers fan.

It's sorta growing on me too. The design however says "This is how the new Civic and Accord Coupe would look like with 4 doors." by the design of the tailamps. Also the rear kinda makes it look like they took styling ques off the 1st Gen CL how the trunk is kinda creased. I don't like how they creased the bumper along with the trunk.

I don't know why everyone always sees Camry or Saturn in every car.

What they are trying to do is make a car that you can tell is coming from far away. That is what people in this segment want. They want a car that they can be noticed in. Fickle, yes, but that is the price of "premium."

As for the grill, they wanted a bold styling element. I am guessing that you would probably be able to talk the dealer into painting the grill body color for a marginal cost, which is something they seem to be willing to do. Apparently TSX owners are doing this somewhat, or at least a few have. That apparently helps tremendously.

Overall, the car is sound, but unfortunately, the styling trend these days is towards busy, which I don't like, but you can't really fault Acura for that, because they are ALL doing it.

I see a lot of the 1st gen CL in the rear end too, which I think might be one reason they did it. It was distinctive, that is for sure. The only complaint I have about the rear is the tail light lenses, as I don't like the "altezza" styling on them. I also don't like the chrome strip on the bottom of the trunk.
