The head is not physically reversed. Nor the engine for that matter. You can see the cam gears are still mounted on the drivers side and the trans is still mounted on the passenger side The original F20B spins counter-clockwise. The X-Trac sequential transmission used spins clockwise for the forward gears. The eninge was altered to rotate clockwise (like a K-Series), thus allowing the use of the transmission. The fact that the the intake is now facing the front was just an added bonus.
