    cjv998: 2004 Mazdaspeed Miata

EDIT: Added some new pictures, since I washed the car yesterday.

Got a new car today. The cb is gone. Pics will follow when it stops raining. Yes, it rains in the desert on the day I buy a convertible. How's that for irony?

Ehh, it was time to move on. It would've needed more work than I could justify putting into it.

One thing I noticed, is the one courtesy light by the rear plate hangs down; the clip is broken (you can see it in the second picture). Any thoughts on how I should replace that? There aren't any Mazda dealers by me that I know of; maybe a junkyard? I'm sure that's the same part on all Miatas.

Also, 3 of the wheels have minor curb rash around the lip. That's not a huge deal to me though; I honestly intended to replace them with something a little smaller (and lighter) anyway.

                  Maple50175 - you're annoying =P
Brandoncb7 - I don't mean to come across like an ass but I see why you irritate Aaron now.
JoshM - Crotch rocket = chick magnet.

Yeah. It's a small single-scroll IHI turbo (RHF5 VJ35 is the model I think), around 8psi of max. boost. Good for 178hp, which isn't bad in a 2500 lb. car with ridiculously short gearing. Seriously, accelerating from stops, I'm like, "Man, I'm in 6th already?"

Not for now. Like I mentioned, it's plenty fast for me at this point. I would like to add a roll bar to it (I'll get a picture of the one I want in a minute). I'm sure I'll eventually want an intake/exhaust combo though. I would also like some different wheels (15 or 16's, the stock 17's are heavy) and some nicer summer max. performance tires (I'm in the desert, so it's summer almost year-round).

                            Here's the roll bar: http://www.emezger.com/miata/pics.html

Here are the wheels (Enkei RP-F1, 13 lbs. each for 16's): http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q...s/DSC_2581.jpg

yea, i'm sure it would sound sick with a good exhaust on it. how about a mild drop? i know they handle really well in stock form, but i bet with even a mild drop, it would improve the handling capabilities.

but very nice car. i like.
