There's a hell of a difference between a WRX and an Evo.

STi vs. Evo is just personal preference. I don't trust Evo reliability enough from all the things I've read. Plus when I sat in the MR I just couldn't get comfortable.

Be prepared to be spending close to $200/month on fuel alone if you go STi.

i would say the EVO cuz of its looks and its just as fast as a STI with less HP. both are amazing machines but at the end of the day its what makes you happy

Evos got the performance edge, but I just like the STi more.

Lol, is $200 a month that much? That's what I spend with my Legacy...fill up once a week

I'm rather surprised you didn't like the MR seats though. That's the one area where I truly give the Evo a leg up.

well no cars reliable...if the owner doesnt no how to even wipe his own butt...you have to look also at ease of maintainence (not the sti)...blown cylinder sound (not the evo) ...and mods...and evo you can leave the motor in while modding the heads or block...the sti on the other hand has to have the motor taken out for engine mods...

There's a reason why Subarus are the car of choice for engineers....they value design and durability (as engineers are inherently cheap).

That said, I guarantee there are a lot more 300k+ Subarus on the road than Mitsubishis. Face it, Mitsu can't do durable

That said, I own a Subie (and am an engineer)

I'm an EVO Stan fanboy ,but I think the performance gap is closing with the 08 STI. The new Evo design though fails. I dont care for it. The only thing I cant stand about the new STI is those *** ass tailights.

EVO would be my choice.. especially since there is a pretty large crowd of STIs in boston.. and ive only seen 1 or 2 evos
