The BL record might stand for now but Autobanh did a good job of putting up 228mph mile runs and constant 226mph runs this year with a 30mph headwind. I think that is something to be commended on. They were aiming for 230s. Its fun reading up on peoples stuff. Probs to Autobanh and the BL crew though. I still like this line taken from supraforums:

That was greatness. Anyway next year they should be able to break it. Most of the supras were running in the 220 range from what I can see other than the fwe with turbo and nitrous only. Most of the ones hovering around 200mph were supras running with 111k blocks and so on. Thats pretty impressive.

i wanted to go to the tx mile so bad, our friend was running his supra, its a red one LOL he said he finished 2nd behind the boost logic car, he had over heating issues. freeking impressive tho antyhing ove 200mph i would be so scared!!!

JZA80's are friggen mint ass cars, but you can only really appreciate them with the 2jz turbo motor. These things are soooo friggen impressive especially with a nice big single.
