Dohc Vtec Cd5

Did the 9495 CD5's come with a DOHC VTEC of any kind

Maybe im just not looking in the right place, but i cant find anything on it.

I didnt get to check the engine itself nor the VIN, but it was a 9495 EX Sedan. Black/dark sidemarkers, gold badging and a OEM "DOHC V-TEC" decal on the rear, right above the gold "EX".

I know it wasnt a tuner cuz it had all kinda of dents, messed up front-end, all 4 mudguards....it appeared to be stock.

I went through the lists of engines, and the only thing i could come up with was an H-series of some kind, but they only came in the SiR's and Euro-R's and there as no badging of the sort.

Yeah, I dont think people ever put vtec stickers on anything.

Im about 99% sure it was a factory Honda decal. Not very big either. And if they were a ricer, they should be spending money on other things besides "DOHC VTEC" decals....

I mean this thing had original paint, wheels, lights...everything, but it was dented and messed up all to hell...

You can stick on factory looking DOHC Vtec stickers on anything....There were no DOHC USDM 5th gens. The only dohc was the SiR Model in japan that the US did not get.

LOL! You think that's bad? I saw a nasty blue Del Sol with a smashed up fiberglass kit, with SOHC VTEC stickers on it...

At first glance this thing was whacked. I saw it from across the lot and figured id just give it a look-see. Then i spotted the smallest, light grey decal on the trunk, right above the "EX". Thats factory location, isnt it?

Thats why i thought it was factory. Not to mention, the sidemarkers didnt appear to be aftermarket, but thats hard to tell...anyway, i just thought id ask..

no i aint kidding ya. all wagons till the 5th gens were made in the USA.

JDM 6th gens were made in Japan.

Nope the only wagons I have seen (5th gen) contain the F22B1 or b2. The only big engine we got in the 5th gen was the v6 the c27 or something like that.

But both of those rides are/were clean...

this thing was seriously on its last leg...if it was a sleeper, then a swap mustve been THE first thing they did.

Im not doubting that it may or may not have had a DOHC engine of some kind, but this was far from sleeper....
