I like the Cube! I wouldn't buy it to go fast... or look cool... or... well... I don't know why I would buy it. But hell... bench seats mean you don't have to relocate to the back seat to get laid!

And bench seats arent new. The Daihatsu Move had them as well.
Its all down to preference. The Japanese (and we people here in Malaysia) just love these kind of cars, small, cheap and easy to use.
Load up the car with options and you have a winner.
The roads here are filled with these cars, especially the Perodua Myvi (which is similar to the Daihatsu Boon/Toyota Passo)
Daihatsu also has a few nice models, namely the Materia (its also badged as a toyota)
Would you need a turbo in motor? If me, I would opt for the Turbo version of these cars, just for that extra ooomph.
Not all cars in Japan are equipped with a radio from the factory, ditto side airbags. Only a few high-end models come with side airbags.
Would I get the Cube? yes, just for the sake that its funky. And I'd opt for the OEM HID option as well.

hell put a radio in it, five star 16s, and a bed in the back (remove back seat, put down mattress, apply tint to windows, and stiffen the suspension) and i would rock that thing (both figurativelyand literaly).

I liked the old xb better the redesign looks like a refrigerator box that a fat chick sat on. As for the cube that thing fucking rocks they just showed the basic jap version and compared it to a highend american comparable car it wasn't a fair fight if that car came to america it would just need a motor that had a little more pep not be bigger perse but just a touch more on the hp side and obviously all those creature comforts we glutonous americans have become accustomed to. Who cares if mr I like big hp cars that suck gas I want more cars that have gas saving at a fore front and still keep that edgy look.F22b + MP1A = mad fun for me now. . .
