but he actually one of the greatest hip hop lyricist...well to me because maybe I connect with his lyrical content more than others plus his use of metaphors is superb. I think Lupe Fiasco is a lyrical genius and his rhymes are mind tingling which is always cool with me. Too much "superman that ho" gets boring even tho i've grown to like that song now. Almost everything in this thread is based on preference, plain and simply so why even argue over this shit.

Now, saying a certain genre or song sucks is an opinion, not a fact or truth.

I like Kanye's music. Why? Because it's good dancing music, good beats. Lyrics? I don't know, I don't really care. I don't listen to his music for the lyrics, same goes with any other "mainstream" rap/hip-hop. They are mainstream for a reason. Because they are popular, up-beat songs that people like, whether you're a country lover or a techno lover.

I have no problem with mainstream music.

I do however, have a problem with rap, hip hop, and r&b. It's all crap, in my opinion.
