How did it fair?

IMHO, it would/should be better as a TV series. It had a lot of "cool" car shots and "zoom" shots, but it just wasnt the same.

First off...the scanner..outward-in/inward-out...No. It shouldve been side-to-side...Fail.

-I think it wouldve looked better with black wheels, all the time, and a black clearcoat. That way it wouldve had that "shadow" appearance for all those desert scenes with no headlights.

-Sydney Poitier's daughter??? Regardless....a lesbian????

-The gun one of the "bad guys" had...long body, short barrel...RCP-90?

-Anybody else pick up on the "Mike" character (Hoff's kid) wearing a black leather jacket, dark red shirt and blue jeans, just like Hoff did in the original...??

-The SUV crash in the end...shouldve, and wouldve, killed EVERYONE inside. Including the old man.

-All vehicles were Fords, except:

2 Chevy's
2 Toyota's
1 Honda
1 Nissan
A few Lincolns at the end
and a Volvo.

Ford owns Lincoln and Volvo so...otherwise...it was a pretty one-sided car cast, but what do you expect with a set-up like this?

And the theme music?!?

I loved it. I thought they had quiet a bit of car shots. I remember seeing that Shelby logo quiet a bit. I think the car looked sexy as it was. The FBI chick with the mole and Sarah Grayam(sp?) I would love to duke the both of them... in the back of kitt.

Was it just one movie that they are showing or is a new TV series starting out of this.

Pretty sure it was just a movie event. Itll be on again, Saturday i think, but i dont think theyll be making a movie out of it. Id watch it if they did.

I wasnt feeling any of the chicks. the main girl was too emo, and living in the past and shit. Ida like to seen some of the action between the black chick and her lil gf she left home though....

the acting is horriable but the car scene's is good, but i stil say the sarah conner ones is better... sorta lol.

Yeah it looks a little ***. One of the first action sequences where theres a rig shot of the car it's blatantly obvious that it's a stock mustang cuz you can see the stock wheels. It happens again later on too, you figure they would catch something like that but it just looks irresponsible. After that I kinda got turned of by it already. Then the rest of it is kind of just a rolling Ford commercial and the acting is subpar. Then the shots of Vegas and the casino shots are from another NBC show, "Las Vegas". Doesn't look like they really invested much into the show and with reused shots and sets, it just makes the whole thing look weak. :thumbdown:

It's a pilot. They are not going to spend tons and tons of money on a pilot, just to find out it sucks and they wasted a ton of money on it.

More a problem of editing.

If anyone on TV can just turn it on a spot the mistakes, than obviously there's something that needs to be done. They spent the money to make it, they can pay people to edit it correctly. Especially if they pumped so much money and effort into advertising the shit out of it. They aired it as a 2-hour "Movie Event", not as a television pilot. Not like its a small network either, they can afford to do it correctly.

Oh yeah, they also had Ford pumping money into it too.

I didn't get a chance to watch it, but I may download it and check it out. It doesn't come on the Weather Channel, so I can't watch.
