I hate to say it, but I'm happy about the rate increase. I don't sell on there, but I do profit from the money ebay makes

It is a pretty crappy thing, though. 25% for some store owners? That's harsh!

i read about the increase in rates over a month ago on ask.com news section. Their previous rate increase was the reason i stopped selling on there but now its just crazy. I guess the sellers gotta suck it up. They are also gonna change the feedback structure where sellers cant leave negative feedback for buyers because there have been alot of lost revenue due to sellers giving new users negative FBs when they bid and win a item and not pay for it.

The fee hike is a PIA for sellers (like me), but I'll just increase my shipping charges again to recoup the fees, like always. The thing that's really irritating is the sorting listings by feedback score. That is someone with better feedback, and ratings (based on communication, shipping charges, time to ship etc) will have their item shown above someone with the same item (even at a cheaper price, or ending sooner) with a lower feedback score.

Eh, no worries... people still search for the lowest price. I usually skip past the first few listings simply because I know they aren't what I'm looking for.
