Yeah, AccordWarrior showed them to me last spring, and I've loved them ever since.
Ugh... the only NJ date is at the Stone Pony... the house that Bruce built. It's changed hands about 6 times over the years, been newly renovated, and is currently staffed by 100% pure American assholes. My friend's band played there... they were on second initially, and the first band was warming up when the staff told them that because they sold the least tickets, they go on first. So they stopped the first band's sound check, had to use their settings (a post-punk/grunge band playing with the settings of a hippie jam band... yeah, sounded like poop). My friend was pissed, even though they played well and the crowd was into it. He smashed his guitar at the end. The bouncer tackled him, knocking over the microphone stand. They were then kicked out of the place... after being forced to pay $320 for the slightly damaged $180 microphone (which they ended up taking with them... had to fight for it, but if they were paying for it, they were taking the "broken" one!)
The Stone Pony didn't advertise the show. They didn't provide drink tickets for the band. They did nothing. Then they treated the bands like crap.
Sadly, I'm boycotting the Pony.

man that does sound like a stupid place. there is a smallish place in portland that i watch most of the concerts at, but everyone is cool. moshing, crowdsurfing, stage diving, pretty much everything is a loud. people crowd surf up to the stage, and like the band members will grab them and sing to them, then push them back into the crowd to surf some more bwahahah.
you can stand right next to the stage, so the band is always giving high five/spitting/dumping water/throwing stuff into the crowd so you really feel connected to the music. so far nothing out of hand has happend, and i've been there for quite a few shows

I wonder if I can talk to a promoter friend of mine to get Enter Shikari a show down my way... screw the Pony!

bwahaha might as well!
ya people are pretty friendly here, there was like 12 times where people jumped off the stage and ended up landing on the ground somehow bwhahaha while super funny to witness, probably very painful, but they were always helped up and shoved back on top of the crowd lol
ima bigger guy (6'6'', 230lbs), so when crowd surfers come my way, i crouch down to where im normal hight, then put my legs into it and launch the little buggers a good 5 feet through the air onto people who arent even ready for a crowd surfer bwhahaha
this one song Enter Shikari sang, he was like okay, goal for this song is 50 stage dives, so after that song i was hecka tired from launching people towards the stage lol

Man... I feel like a doofus! I messaged the band on myspace, saying I was looking forward to seeing them this summer, and that the Stone Pony sucks... Of course, that was LAST June... I saw the 08 replies of other people that misunderstood, and thought it was a current date!
Funny, I don't remember seeing that when I first heard them, which WAS last June!
Oh well... the cool thing is that they responded right away, so that's pretty awesome They're right where bands are the best... "big", but not rockstars.
