Ever wonder what happens when valves and pistons meet?

Well, they HATE each other. It's pretty much like a war between them...

    the head

Not 100% sure one why it happened. But if you want to know the story behind it, read about the last 6 pages of my members ride thread. NEW engine is being built as a replacement.

damn man.. that sucks.. but Trickedaccord92 's motor did the exact same thing except in pistons 1 and 4..
this is the piston furthest from the cam gears

this is the piston closest to the cam gears

We took the head off just like you guys did.. but we got another motor in just today.. so we are goin to finish to pull it out and take a look at the bottom end to see if anything failed down there... but if you find out what happened to yours .. let us know !! GOOD LUCK with the next one. LOL

No. JDM F22B is DOHC. Not to be confused with the F22b in the 5th gen Accord.

The JDM F22A (the one posted) I believe is the equivalent to the USDM F22A6?
                      3 CB's gone....
                      1 WK Overland....

Still miss the CB though......maybe one day.

JDM F22A is SOHC. Same compression as the USDM counterparts, to the eye anyways. I compared usdm f22a pistons to the jdm f22a pistons and they look identical. I haven't compared the heads combustion chambers yet.
