I was almost shot in Camden about 5yrs ago. I was working at Lowes' Home Improvments in Maple Shade and i was a Delivery Driver. So we had to take a washer and dryer to Camden and we were trapped in a cross fire at 2pm. Me and the kid i was with hit the ground and rolled up against some bushed. 3 shots hit the truck cuz we were park right at the corner. I've have never been so started in my life. TRUE STORY!
And my Sister almost die a few times when she was younger about 6yrs old. She had Cancer but she is all good now

Good to hear your sister is ok, CJ!
Yeah, Camden is some scary stuff. When I did my property inspections down here, I REFUSED to go there. Big white guy in a big white car... They'd assume I was a cop and ask questions later... of each other... while they're dumping my body in the Delaware. "Do you think he was a cop?" "I dunno... but if not, he was stupid enough to be here... HEAVE!"
yea Camden is crazy i couldn't live like that. It was 2 in the afternoon during the summer kids playin outside and everything.
I couldn't even imagine at night... I was in a bad part of Camden at night ONCE... stopsigns, redlights... yeah... I didn't stop for anything! Not all of it is bad, and I know quite a few people from there that are perfectly good people... But the stuff that goes on between the not-good people there is just plain scary!
The guy that trained me for a job I did last summer did property inspections in Camden. He was inspecting a vacant house one time, and had to take a picture of it. He paid no mind to the gang of guys on the porch of the neighboring house. Next thing he knew, he got smashed in the face with a brick. Turns out it was a drug deal going down, and he got hit by the lookout. The guys on he porch started coming down, and another guy tried to get his camera... they thought he was a cop. Turns out the brick broke his eye socket.
The town I grew up in, Lindenwold, has 26 apartment complexes in 5 square miles. Those complexes aren't very expensive to live in. Lindenwold is the last stop of the Patco train, which runs to Camden and Philadelphia. If you go into Camden now, you'll see that about half of the houses are burned or boarded up. When that happened, where do you think everyone moved to?
2007's 5th most dangerous city (depending on what your source is... some call it the murder capital of the country, though I believe that's DC for 2007... New Orleans for 2006)
I don't keep a count of how many times I've almost died. I lived in DC and surrounding area all my life. DC is sometimes called Dodge City. One day a little thug whipped a sawed-off 12 gauge out of his pants and blasted at my buddy's piece of crap reliant k car as we rounded the corner of his block one time too many. We were looking for his stupid girlfriend who decided to walk home from work through the wrong 'hood. She was safely at home while we were dodging buckshots while out looking for her.
As I grew up, there were approximately 15 murders in a 4 block radius from my house between 1987 an 1995. Eight of which were interconected. National Guard troops were regularly patrolling my street with Humvees and floodlights.
My youngest brother witnessed his first murder at the ripe old age of 4.
Right before Christmas, some idiot threw a frozen hamburger patty through my dad's front window. He still lives in the house where I grew up.

I fell asleep at 9 in the morning after doing a motor swap and had a run-in with a telephone pole at 45 MPH. By the way it was a 98 Subaru Legacy wagon
Holy crap! They had to jaws of life you out of there? Harsh.
Nope, hit the pole at an angle and it tore the roof up like a tin can. You can see the driver's door is open. I got out of the car after it happen but there was no jaws of life involved although everyone asks that.
Yeah, when I was getting staples in my head all the docs and nurses had been emailing the pic of the car to eachother and telling me how I should be dead...

i came two inches away from hitting a deer last night. well the deer came two inches away from hitting me, on the driver's side window two. i was on an open dirt road so i pulled the e-brake and jerked the wheel left. i did about a 180, which was cool and scary at the same time(coulda swore i was going to flip the car), then i pulled over to the side of the road and turned the car off.
