hmmm...no. I used to be all up on the v8, but I guess all the damn rednecks around here(whom I hate dearly) makes me not want to have one.

Not really the I6 design has more torque than the V6 design. I6 are good motors but they aren't really decent until you doing FI on them. V8 just all motor it and throw some bolt ons on there you got a decent beast. This also depends on the v8 your modding. BMW have used straight 6 for the longest time. The highest producer they made was the e46 m3 all motor as I recall. They might have more powerful straights but the most I have seen NA was the 333hp one. Dunno if they have anything more than that. They do have the new 335i but thats twin turbo. Dunno what its rated at though. But I dunno I just like the rumble and the feeling a v8 gives you all motor.

It's all about what you want... You can make crazy power with any engine... I4, boxer, I6, V6, V8, V10, V12, rotary... whatever.

I love BMW's approach. Throw 2 more cylinders on the M3 and M5 for this current model... but if they make the M1 the way the rumors have been flying, they'll likely TAKE AWAY 2 cylinders... Twin turbo 4 cylinder is what's rumored to be going in there. Just like with the original M3 (only turbo this time around!)

          Speaking of which... I want a 135i
