I'm looking for a second job... well, these days, a first job (my regular job has been a bit... irregular... I need something else!)
Anyway, I've considered working at various places... bookstore, autoparts store, something in the mall, car dealership...
I don't want a "real" job just yet. I plan on going back to school, and if my regular job picks back up, I'll need the time to work (and I'll have plenty of money with a few days at the two jobs!)
I worked as a waiter for 6 years, and I REALLY don't want to go back to table service! With a flexible schedule, I know that's probably the best I can do...
Next would be pizza. I used to deliver for Dominos for a brief time, and then spent a year at a local joint (I miss that place... they closed ) Pizza is a good time, and the money is decent. In case my regular job doesn't pick up more, I want to make sure I have something that will at least let me scrape by.
I've always heard that Papa Johns paid over minimum wage (many places get away with paying less than minimum, since you get tips). I also hear they reimburse for gas (certain amount per run, I think)... Plus tips. That beats the hell out of any other part time slacker job!
So, is there anyone working for Papa Johns at the moment that can share some insight? I'll have to pick uslspct's brain about it when he's around... he's local to me and he used to (or still does sometimes?) work at Papa's... Until then, any additional info would be helpful!
Also, if anyone has any suggestions for another job that could make me some decent cash on a part-time basis (that isn't crazy stressful... I don't need that just yet!) let me know!
