its kinda easy just hard to cut into a expensive hood.

cut your hole in the radiator support and put the bolts in and put white out on the top of the bolts as to show you where to cut then cut and your good

              Honestly, I thought so too...

My Fiber Images hood needed to have the latch modified (both the mechanism on the car and the loop on the hood). I also had a fun time of aligning it.

However, I don't know that there's really a way to make a DIY. It's one of those "fuck with it until it fits" kinda situations. A hammer, a hacksaw, and lots of foul language was all I needed!

If the latch is secure, hood pins really aren't necessary. I'm not a fan of the look, myself.

my carbon fiber hood fit perfect. the only thing i had to modify was the hood stand hole. i didn't bother with the headlight washers

hahahaa all these people answered... but not my question!

i just want to know if anyone has a cf hood from jdmshit.com? not how to install hood pins or even how it latches.

plus this hood has a sick ass latch go check it out!
(whether it actually latches who knows but it looks like a much better design)

Well, even though nobody answered your question directly... judging by the fact that none of those people said "I got one from there!", nobody so far has.

Most are Vis, Fiber Images, or cheap knockoff stuff.

I plan to get hoodpins but not for the look or for it to hold if the latch goes but for security, i plan on getting the ones you have to have a key for. So if a thief wanted to dislocate my battery he would have to figure out a way to break the hood pins.

I have never even heard of jdmsh!t till now

Hood pins SHOULD be about the function, not the look. However, a well made hood shouldn't need them.
