You have to remember that the areas with a cheaper cost of living also have less job potential. You might find a good place for $500 a month, but you'll have a job making $8 an hour.
    so true
    Maple50175 - you're annoying =P
Brandoncb7 - I don't mean to come across like an ass but I see why you irritate Aaron now.

infact, the highest average home sales are in MA.

Wash D.C. has plenty of jobs.
now that is true, the northeast has actually not suffered that much from the subprime mortgage crisis.

Wayne man, finish school before you do anything. your very close to earning your BA, so just finish that up and you'll be guaranteeing yourself a better employment in the future. And remember moving to cali would mean high cost everything (house, insurance, car, food, gas, etc).

Dude you could always move 20 minutes north of the border .

No sales tax (besides Delaware) but go more towards Manchester and you'll find cheaper apartments.

I've been here almost 4 years and I'd relocate myself probably back down to Massachusetts if I was in a better financial situation myself.

Government jobs are the best They can have a long waiting period to get into one, though... I'm still waiting to hear back on a passport specialist position I applied for some time ago!
