Not only is this kid really awesome, but I LOVE the piano for its flexibility.

It makes any music sound good, and is about the only instrument IMO that can be fully appreciated with absolutely no backing music whatsoever. I can't really think of any other instruments that would fit that category of complete stand alone musicmakers, and sound just as good as they do when accompanied.

Yes, that guy was really awesome!

I always wanted to learn to play one, and started to teach myself at one point (on one that was owned in a house I was sitting), but we didn't have the room or money in my house.

That one is awesome too.

One reason I always like Metallica (and some metal in general) is that the composition was so complex on a lot of their songs (once everything was added in), that if you played it on something like Piano, or in a classical arrangement, most people would never know it was "heavy metal."

That was proved to outstanding effect on the S&M album.

Linkin Park's stuff seems to translate really really well too.

I agree. Hearing this in person with good singers is a good way to get chills down your spine. Boyz II Men was always really good at it.
