Haha, Its bc i did it to, without a map, except.. .....wait for it.... ...I had to switch highways a couple times. OMG i had to take an exit and I didnt what i was doing. I thought i was lost and then i saw the gas light come on, and i was about to go bizzerk, but then my friend pulled out his verizon turn by turn directions and gps saved the day.

Nah, Im just playing. But i did make a trip from Tampa home without a map or anything and I had to go around some cities. There is a simple key to interstate highways.

    Odds are North-South
    Evens are East-West
The numbers increase from West->East and South->North
A 3 digit highway goes around the city.

For example(i pulled these numbers outta my ass)
95 goes through Baltimore. There is also a 295 and 495 in Baltimore. 295 Will go around Baltimore on the West side and 495 on the East side. 295 and 495 will end up running into 95 on the north/south side depending what direction you going.
If there is a highway 310 or something(Note:As you can see its not a varient of 95) It will not run into 95, but most likely just end into a regular street.

These are the basic's and there are exceptions(My memory is also rusty so i could have some stuff slightly wrong). So with this little bit of Info, some common sense and some sense of Navigation you shouldnt get lost majorly.

NOTE:These rules do not apply to New Jersey. Jersey has the most fucked up Highway and Road system ever. If your going to Jersey get a GPS system becasue chances are(if you dont know the area), YOU WILL GET LOST. NOthing there uses common sense and you cannot figure anything out using common sense. This is the only place in the world that 1+1=3. To accompany the terrible roads and numbering/naming they also have no signs. There are no Pre-signs that say xxx in 2 miles, and then xxx in 1 mile, and then xxx 1/2 miles, xxx exit here. All they have is a xxx exit here now. So if you blink and miss that, it could cost you a LOT of time bc guess what? You cant just pull a U-Turn but have to turn right to turn left.

Sorry, that was my Jersey rant. I still love you Jersey guys.

I have a Navigon 2100T, I got it during Black Friday for under 100 dollars and its pretty sweet. I got it at Staples, and since it was a special deal, it comes w/ lifetime free traffic updates preloaded. They were also selling the TOM TOM ONE for 105 but i figured this was better since it was 300 normally and came with a 99 dollar free traffic subscription for life. It's worked really well when i took trips to California, never missed a beat and tells me where all the accidents are and slow/congested traffic jams.

mapquest? lol thats what i use at work when i drive the other work truck. My boss has Garmin in his van. Not sure which model but its nice. If you miss an exit or make a wrong turn it finds another route. It does get annoying when he leaves the voice volume on too high though.

I just hate reading maps (I can do it, but I don't LIKE doing it lol). One time I took a trip using a MapQuest map, and it confused the shit out of us.

I've never really traveled anywhere, but I would like to be able to take trips and shit without having to worry about maps and asking for directions and all that. Plus, being in an unknown area I could find out some good POIs and stuff.

almost too eays to drive with GPS...half the fun is trying to read street signs without smashing the person in front of you.

            Astigmatism ftw!

but on the real note, it is definitely helpful. plus, i get to hear that sexy female english voice.
