However, the northern campuses are more focused on research, while the Camden campus is focused largely on teaching. The professors that teach there WANT to teach, rather than have it be something they have to do to be allowed to continue with their research!
oh ok i see what your saying and the def makes sense, there are plenty of professors who just hang around just to be able to continue with their research, well with a rutgers background you already off to a good start!

The BA is in psych. I also have an AS in business (equally worthless).

My counseling class is what sealed the deal for me. My professor was incredibly influential, and I just found that I was really good at it. I understood the concepts well, and I enjoyed the application of it. Plus, I've always been drawn to helping people out, especially in relationship issues (I've taken the time to hear people out and give advice even when my own relationships were falling apart...). I want to explore Solution Focused Therapy and the work of Insoo Kim Berg. I'm not sure I'd want to practice it, but I could definitely make good use of it as a tool in my overall scheme (truse SFT practitioners believe that ANYTHING can be fixed by that method... I believe that leaves WAY too much up to the client, and leaves the therapist in too distant of a role)

It's true. I mean, I might be able to land a job as an assistant manager at McDonalds or something, but that's about it. I got better jobs by walking into stores and asking for a management position (looking older certainly helps as well... you could probably pull that off as well, Danny!)

These days, an Associates degree is like a GED was 20 years ago. A Bachelors degree is like a highschool diplopma. A Masters degree is like a Bachelors degree. A doctorate... well... you're a doctor at that point, so I don't think that will ever lose the effect!

Whats MBAT? is that the same as the GMAT? I know around here if you want to go to grad school for you MBA you have to take the GMAT.

GRE will be a breeze for you bro. Especially the writing part. And with your attitude I think you will go far as a counselor. Exciting stuff man!
