    hows the recoil on it????

you wanna know WHAT and WHO inspired me into getting one?

this video and friend of mine! ( Patrick )
    http://youtube.com/watch?v=qqTMu6cIhcc

I can't wait to get my hands on a KP95D

but yeah mayne..your KP95D and my P97DC looks almost Identical.

you have the latest model P95 ( trigger guard is rounded )..the older P95s ( first production..had the squared trigger guard )...like my P97DC.
Yeah, I just got the P95 this summer brand spankin' new out of the local gun shop for $423. The recoil on it isnt bad at all, almost little to none, atleast its not as powerfull as my dads .357 magnum. The winchester ammo works great, I also have some federal hydrashok. But the Magtech +P ammo kicks a little more to me, I got some of those too. Its kinda funny, before I bought my p95 Patrick inspired me too, if you look under his videos, if you see "atownzone3" thats me. Plus he was very knowledgeable about that gun and taking it down and putting it back together sold it for me. The only thing I didnt like about the P97 was that the barrel stuck out the end too much. And I personally don't like the decock only models due to the fact that they are prone to more accidents, even though the same thing could happen with the manual safety. I just want to feel "more safe". The advantage to the decock only models is that they will fire everytime the trigger is pulled. This was my first gun owned so I just went with something I felt comfortable with, plus Patrick suggested it since I was a first time owner.

not yet... VERY VERY SOON though

      I have to attend the class ( $100 )..

and then go to the sherrifs department to actually attain it ( $55 )...7 day wait ( Federal background check )

then...HELLO...Conceal carry license ( in my wallet )
[ good for 5 years...then renew it as you would your driver license ]

NOTE: I do however have a Emergency Conceal carry license ( temp )..its only good for 90 days ( which I have 2 months left ) ...some shit jumped off..and I had to explain to the sherrifs department WHY I needed the temp conceal carry license....and I was approved.

so..as of right now...if I was to get stopped...Id have to show my driver license and the temp Conceal license ..and explain...I have a loaded firearm on my person. ( perfectly legal ) ...I already looked into it.

you have to...and I mean..HAVE TO tell the officer...you have a loaded handgun on your person..when you furnish your driver license and temp conceal license to him/her...so they know you're safe and they know you're legally carrying a loaded gun.
Nah, C&R is a curio and relics license. It's good for 3 years at a cost of $30 (iirc) and allows you to purchase certain firearms through the mail. There are even some handguns that are considered c&r that you can order and have them delivered to your house via UPS/USPS. My Walther PP came in the mail one day

Can you imagine seeing the BBT and know that that large parcel he's bringing to your door is the pair of sks' that you ordered online.

Also if you do decide to get a C&R license google cruffler and send some copies of your license to alot of vendors who will give you the dealer prices on parts, guns and accessories. (As I type this I remember that I need to renew mine ) Let me know if you have any ?s

I wish Md was so easy going about issuing carry permits. If you don't know someone or aren't being stalked, it's almost impossible to get one here. DC, fugedaboudit. We're working to change that in MD by lobbying the state legislature without end.

Believe it or not most officers feel much better knowing that you are legally carrying. It lets them know that you're one of the good guys.

Just make sure that when carrying, you don't even think about alcohol cuz that's a surefire way to have your permit revoked.

Yeah...my name on Youtube is ( Twisted62380 )...yeah mayne, hes a very knowledgeable person when it comes to those P95s

but on the contrary.... I feel more safe with the decock models only ( to each their own )...it takes more than just a shift of the body to let those go off...if you have your gun cocked..and with the saftey on....a shift of the body...could knock that safety down or up to FIRE...and then its all in the trigger since its under LIGHT lbs in order for fire.

like Patrick said, " If you rely on mechanical safeties to prevent an accident, you're going to have an accident "

        Remember that???

another reason I like the decock lever....it springs back to Fire after you decock the gun...( ready for Fire ).

instead the extra step on flipping it back to fire. thats just me though...I prefer the decock only models! ..and I really..really..really like how it incorporates the 1911 feature ( pull the slide back and the hammer stays back )

SIDE JOKE: if you dont DECOCK the gun...and you carry it cocked..you MAY end up DE-COCKED!

isn't that almost like having a FFL license?

because 100% of the time ( already TRIED ) ....100% of the time...if you try to get a sidearm from online from a gun store....you have to have it delivered to a FFL agent...and then you have to pay a fee for transfer of the paperwork.

I was gonna get this...sometime in a few weeks if they still had it.

Thats the problem with retailers. They insist that I paper my guns. Aint happening. I might paper one, but definetly not all. Just a way for the gov to keep tabs on you, Gives them more control. You'll see why papering is a bad idea when nutcases in congress or Hitlery try to ban all guns. They'll know right off the bat youfull arsenal. Not me though .... Yup....$700 for an AK is pretty typical man. I'd like to get mine chromed out like whats his face on "Belly"..LOL.. You'd rather buy a firearm ILLEGALLY??????? ....thats one way to QUICKLY catch a gun charge...OR for some reason...if officers were to search your crib...and they find it/them...and you can't produce paperwork ( registration )..or if they run the serial number....and it doesn't come back to you...guess what...BYE BYE gun and hello fines....whatever or whichever ones you purchase illegally.

my advice...get all of them registered...to avoid future headache.

NOTE: ...just because you're getting a good deal from some smojoe off the street ....that very " GOOD DEAL " could land you in a lot of hot water with the law. ( speaking from experience )...then you would have to prove your innocence of what they MAY find when they run that gun through their database ( serial number....chamber striations comparisons..etc..etc )

Yeah it's a license not to buy and sell but in that sense but one to acquire collectible firearms without having to go through all of the red tape normally associated with buying firearms. You are required to keep a specific log of your firearms and are subject to a records inspection by an BATFE agent but I don't know anyone with one who has had as inspection yet. With all that said, you are allowed to buy and sell eligible firearms directly to/from other C&R holders to advance your collection without having to go through a FFL holder . There are some 1911 models that qualify for that Curio and Relic status.

Shux, I am also recognized as a collector by the state of Maryland which allows me to purchase more than 1 regulated firearm (pistols and some rifles are sold under tighter constraints in Md) a month without having to fill out any additional paperwork or being denied.

I haven't been able to take advantage of this yet but I will when I get a chance!

                    *bringing out soapbox*
Also, to anyone who owns firearms illegally but are not otherwise prohibited from doing so, get them the right way because one wrong move could have your right to bear arms taken away permanently and there are lots of people out there who are using any and every trick in the book to slowly erode our 2nd Amendment rights and would rather you be a victim and not a victor, Including the UN . Ain't worth it IMHO.
                    *soapbox put away*

One last point, teach your kids about firearm safety so that they aren't excited by guns. I used to hide my guns from my sons when they were younger but decided to introduce them to plinking and they weren't sneaking to have a peek anymore as they now see firearms as tools just like my hammer and screw driver. Once my older sons turned 8 and 4, the were at the range with me and my older son fired all of my handguns except my .357. The p97 was his favorite. They did so well that I bought them their own .22 rifles. They're 12 and 8 now and I don't have to worry about them sneaking around looking for the guns since they can see them whenever they want as long as they ask and I am available to show them to them. Now if I could just get them to clean 'em

I'll have to get photos of all my firearms one of these days. I inherited a bunch of them when my father passed away. Mostly shotguns and rifles. Remington 12ga pump w/scope, Eastern Arms 16ga side-by-side breachloader, Remington .30-30 lever action, Remington .30-06 pump and a Tanfoglio TZ-75 9mm. The TZ is an Italian clone of the Czech CZ-75. Pretty nice little 9mm compact. I've never really been much of a shooter. I definitely need to get out the 16ga at least, though. While cleaning the attic, I had to move it and noticed it's got some surface rust on it, so I know I need to at least clean and re-blue that one. I'll make sure to check the rest while I'm at it.

You can try gunbroker.com. It's an auction site but sometimes you can find a nice deal on there and another place is galleryofguns.com. I've never dealth with them directly but they are a rather large distributor that have access to lots of stuff.

Wow, the all blacks are hard to find up there? In ATL its the opposite, people down here like stainless steel, I see more blacks(blues) then I see stainless everytime I go in the shop. The day I went to get mine, they had to order it since they didnt have it in stock, but they had p95's and p97's all black chillin in the glass case.
