    decisions, decisions

    Hey all,

So I bought a 92 Accord Wagon in mint condition last month. It's an LX, so it has the A1 in it compared to the A4 in my 90 EX.

Between the added weight of the wagon design and the restrictiveness of the A1 manifold vs the A4 header, this thing is slow as poop

I've swapped over my MagnaFlow catback and Nology hotwires and done a full tune up. I still have to install my MSD 6A box and Blaster SS coil tho. However, so far it just doesn't have the pep of my sedan.

The mileage on the engine is low compared to my 90......120k compared to 240k+ on the 90.

I wasn't buying this car with the intention of doing an engine swap. I also still owe my dad $1500 on the car which I will hopefully get back selling the 90.

I'm working at a new job which pays quite well. The only disadvantage is the work is up and down. I'd be happy with 3-4 days a week regularly, but sometimes you have to work 6 days a week because the next month you'll only work 1-2 a week.

I also have to handle my own taxes for this job, so I'm trying to put something away for April tax deadlines.

The car isn't in need of any maintenance, other than fixing the AC come summertime. I'm planning to take it on a trip through the States in February or March.

What would you do in my situation........just leave the wagon as is till I've got some serious money sitting in the bank? If I do mod, should I work with the F22 I've got in there already which is still young and fresh? Or save money and turn this into an H powered beast?

I'm just in a quandary and could stand to hear some opinions

    Thanks

Or... save money up until you have extra in case something comes up.

Just save until you can buy everything you want at once, that's what I'd do. Plus then you'll have a savings just in case something does break.

I say stay low budget on the F series until you've got some loot in the bank, then swap out for the H series.

I'd prefer to stick NA on a daily driven car.........as much as I want a snail in my life I don't think I'd ever do it, not unless I buy a stock turboed vehicle which is unlikely.

I'm a HUGE fan of the F series so part of me wants to do cool things with the SOHC ala Cisco (Hondafan81)......however while I admire his work, I have neither his skills or his budget. It'd probably be more cost effective for me in $/hp ratios to buy and swap an H22

And no, it is totally not an autotragic.......after one auto I swore them off forever. This wagon is standard!!! (Nearly impossible to find in my area)

I guess its good advice to say sit on it until I've got significant coinage....but the problem is I doubt I'll ever get around to it if I wait. I have too many interests to distract me and spend my money.

And that brings another decision up......what do you think, should I travel or mod? I'm planning this US roadtrip but I'm talking about real travelling here, to Europe and South America....I'd really like to go to a bunch of places, but thats quite expensive in this day and age. A good Europe trip could cost the equivalent of an H swap right there.

              Bring on the opinions!
