I think white looks cool. I couldn't do it though... It'd get dirty way too quickly! My engine bay is an embarrassment!

I have to agree, sorry, but I do. I can spot like 10 runs in the first picture and like 3 in the other two. I would just sand it down until you can't see the runs anymore, and then spray like 2 more coats. Only this time stand back a little further, so the nozzle is like a foot or so from the VC. And start spraying before the VC, and continue to spray past it. It uses a little extra paint, but it will avoid build up of paint at the beginning and end of your spray. Moe your can at a steady speed, not too fast, but not too slow. And last but not least, remember that a few light layers is better than one heavy layer. I hope that helps, you just said that you want it top notch, and no offense, but that's not a top notch paint job.

yeh its my first time painting unlike most ppl i rather do it my self and and learn than just pay someone to do it for me...i know it has alot of runs which is why its not done i have to sand it down and go over it couple more times

thnx for the dirctions but when i said top notch i was refering to how i maintain my engine and how it runs..not the valvecover

Yeah, deffinetly sand it down to loose the runs and next time put really thin coats on with the can alot farther back. Your getting way too close.
