they closed a local community college down here for that diease a week or so ago..schools all over here in va have had the outbreak..pretty serious..all you have to do is just wash your hands when you leave the bathroom..im paranoid..so i just carry around hand sanitizer in my car

ok, i've been talking to Sam a lot today, and he said that he's doing better, and he'll be staying in the hospital until at least Sunday. his platelet count is way down. he said his platelet level is at about 4 million, and that the normal level for people is anywhere from 150-400 million. this is pretty serious, guys. i know i'd personally appreciate it if you would pray for him, if you're a praying person, of course, or at least wish him luck, and keep him in your thoughts. he's a damn good guy, and he's always been really helpful to people on here, and in "real life"

on a side note, people, if you dont have a positive message to say, dont say anything at all please, this is a really serious condition.

on a side note of the side note. people... it's a staPH infection...not a staFF infection..

Sam would like to extend his gratitude and appreciation for everyone's thoughts and prayers. if you've ever been in a similar situation, you know the comfort you get from such. i'd like to thank everyone as well. like i said, Sam's a really good guy. Lord knows it would suck if something bad were to happen to him.

I'd like to confirm Nathans post. The doctors dismissed me earlier today. I'm doing all right now, and it's nice to be able to be out in the real world again. There was a time when I was lying in that hospital bed hearing people crying on the phone, because there was word that I wasn't going to walk out out on my own, because I wouldn't be alive to do so.

That was after the first steps of trying to be me better were failing. The doctors told me that the first dose of medicine should life my platelet level up from 4, to atleast a good 10 or so. It only brought it up 1. Pretty scarey stuff. This post isn't really very detailed, but like I said I just got home. Thanks for all the positive support guys.
