He needs to take some of the exhaust gas away. How about a little valve that opens up and releases some of it to the air?

So, if that's his car and house... he lives with his parents?

I bet this guy could make a scuba kit out of a bendy-straw.

The C1 and C2 had some cajones, and the C4 started to be fast again... but the C3 is the most likely candidate.
*Hrmmph* That was actually the bottom-out in 1975 (and even then, Car and Driver listed the Corvette as the fastest accelerating American car for 1976), the first few years of the C3 spanked anything the C1 had and most of what the C2 could have. The LT-1 small-block put out 370hp, the '71 454 put out 425, and the ZL1 option (which I believe had the L98 aluminum 427 engine) was 100hp under-rated at 430hp. These should all be SAE gross hp numbers, so subtract anywhere form 10 to 30 % approx. (no standard for conversion exists, since the difference varies wildly for all cars that made the changeover). The drop in hp ratings was due to changing to unleaded (which contributed to the Deever-mentioned emissions standards, among other things) and the change from SAE gross hp to SAE net hp, which delivered much more accurate ratings.
Sorry, Deev, I don't wanna sound like I'm being harsh or anything, but 'Vettes are kinda my thang.

wow i bet the epa will love him. I can't believe this guy's thinking. I am really impressed with the pic he made. He should print, frame and sell for millions.

Oh and vettes suck. I really get impressed by an 8 cylinder sucking down gas and doesn't run as efficiently as my h motors.

Depends on what you mean by "efficiently". Name ANY n/a 6- or 8-cylinder car by ANY manufacturor that has similar specific output AND mpg as a good n/a 4-cyl from the same era. You can't, because there are none. And considering how big current-gen 'Vette engines are, they actually do get decent gas mileage for what they are.

Well actually he has an auto tranny... He kind of figured out what his problem is... he starts out in "L"aunch gear... Then when he reaches the top of "L"aunch he throws it into "D"rag... after he tops that "D"rag he throws it into "R"ace... He says he still has to break in the trans since he just bought a new one...
