Ok guys, look at TI in this pic below and tell me what the name for that baby blue shirt he is wearing, not the brand but that might help. I've seen alot celebs (rappers, rockers and actors) wearing these type of shirts with those shoulders thingies but I cant find what they are called. They seem to look army or navy inspired but I'm lost. If any of you guys can help it would be greatly appreciated.

But yeah, I think it looks ass. Then again, my fashion sense is nonexistant. My hairstyle is from the 40s (when my barber started cutting hair... Seriously!) and my wardrobe consists of jeans or khakis and various tshirts, polos, or button down shirts bought at Target or Wal Mart

The shoulder things are called a passant.
The epaulette, is the decorative peice that slides over, or is attached to the passant. You see the actual epaulette in both military and civilian jobs, as it is normally used to designate rank.
For instance. When you fly on an airplane, and you see that black plate on the flight crew's shoulders with gold/silver stripes on it, that is an epaulette. Four stripes designates Captain, 3 stripes designates First Officer, in most cases. The more stripes, the cooler you are. From an organized social standpoint.
They originally started as those frilly brush things on the shoulders like Cap'n Crunch wears.

Now, if you just had to have a designer brand, I am sure there is a global chain of money sucking, fad oriented, hypocritical capitalist bastards that would be more than happy to pander to your needs. I just don't know who.
If you really want to be cool IMO, and have some meaning and taste behind the shirt, you would go to a military surplus store and pick some up. Or you could try a uniform supply company, that could probably get any color you wanted.Last edited by owequitit; 10-22-2007, 07:54 PM.
