i want to buy one an i really dont want to spend that much money. i dont want a big fancy one i just want a heads up when i am driving above the speed limit. i saw a few at autozone, advance, walmart does anybody know if the ones they sell are any good.

what can you look for to decide if its good or not cause i kno price is not the only thing

You want a radar that will pick up radar and laser also would be good to decipher between other radar detectors. Viper is one of the best, but you will pay for it. If all you want is something that will beep at you after you passed the cop doing 80MPH then auto zone is just your thing.

They have annual tests of radars online. Just searchc google it should pop up. Oh yea just a word the person that helps improve radar detectors for people also make police radars somewhat up to par. Just keep that in mind.
