and shes filling these kids with the worst information i've ever heard.

telling us that DSL is faster and better than cable

and that netscape and IE are the most widely used browsers?


i tried to get her to explain both of thoes statements, but she said that shes been teaching this class since 2001 so she knows?


also, she said the ONLY way to edit any html was with some fancy program

i asked her if it was possible to just edit it with notepad, and she told me no.

Fiber optics are faster than cable, but that's not really DSL, is it? (I know the phone company offers it around here...)

As for IE and Netscape... yeah, maybe in 2001. IE is still fairly strong, because it's on EVERY Windows box out there... it's the default. Firefox is the standard among anyone that knows better... I resisted it, and I'm even using it myself. Netscape is bargain-basement anymore.

Tell her I just went to that site from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Then tell her to fuck off.

I had a computer teacher like that once. She was showing us HTML and like for some reason she kept opening new windows of notepad instead of going back to the last one. By the end of class she had like 15 notepad windows up on the projector.
