Ill join and I dont even have a cd.....but I do believe that my next car will be a cd....as alot of the hard work Ive put into the cb can be carried over to the cd

but I don't see the point in calling it CD5 tuner
A CD5 is the sedan model and a CD7 is the coupe model from 94-95.
why would you name it CD5?
plus the cd series is available from 94-97, with or without vtec!
so the site should be bigger then just 94-95.
look at CB7TUNER, the information is Great and its not a bad place to be. Why wouldnt you want to succeed and make more website's like such!

Before that it was only available in the 90 NSX and 92 Integral's.

Also, I have a question for the members of this site who wrote DIY's on this site that may be useful to have on CD5tuner.

Do you mind if I post them there as well? Obviously you will be credited with writing the DIY, but there are some great ones here (TypeG's plastic polishing ones come to mind) that would be awesome to have there as well. I just think its right to ask permission before reposting something like that. Ill probably PM any members whose DIY's Im interested in reposting anyways, just thought I would throw it out there before I even started really sifting through them.

If they make the migration over, that would be amazing, and I definitley support that. However, judging by the attitude many members here have towards 5th gens, I see that number being alot smaller than I would hope.

And, waiting, in principle, is a great idea. However, how long would I be waiting to post it? I really want to build a large knowledge base to launch the site around, and honestly, there are quite a few stellar DIYs here that Im sure alot of 5th gen owners would find really useful. If anyone has a problem with me posting their DIY (with proper credit), then I wont post it. Its actually as simple as that.

Just as we have the whole spectrum of numbers for the CB chassis (CB7 and 9 here in the US, but elsewhere, they all exist). If we had named this site CBtuner.com, we'd get a bunch of wireless radio enthusiasts signing up!
If I name the new site CDtuner.com, we'd get a bunch of recording artists...

They aren't all CD5s, just as all 4th gens aren't all CB7s... but close enough.

If I ever start a 6th gen site, it'll be cg6tuner.com.

I thought about that, but I want to keep it with the chassiscodetuner.com concept. I eventually want to spread it out over many models that would benefit from such individual model/generation attention.

I COULD just register multiple domain names for every chassis code and direct them all to one site... Of course, that would be a LOT of money!

CD5 may not represent them all, but neither does CB7. It gets the point across, though.

I see your point, and it does make sense... but there's really no way to do it with the concept I have in mind. It's important to make it associated with cb7tuner.com through the name, and I plan on carrying that concept throughout all the sites I'll start (if cd5tuner takes off, I'll be confident that I can move on to other models as well... I'll take it slow, but I'd love to get a whole network going!)
