question about trans in the car im gonna trade for

this guy wants to trade his 95 Auto LS integra for my civic, it has a 2000 front end and tails, carbonfiber hood, ls mesh wheels and its lowered.

but he says when its cold the auto tranny sort of slips in 3rd gear. but when its warm it drives fine.

is this gonna go bad soon or am i straight?

and do you think this is an alright trade for a stock civic with 85k and an ls swap.

Change the fluid immediately. Honda ATF or Redline ATF. Then just don't beat on it! Should last for a little while, anyway.

Besides, how expensive could a replacement auto tranny be? Nobody wants auto, so as long as you get it from a tuner, you should be able to get it cheap as dirt.

It might just need a fluid change, or be low on fluid. Check fluid condition, check for leaks etc.
