He is to blame for all of this..........albeit, a 17 year old should have sense enough, he's still too young to realize what a 500+hp car is capable of.
Hogan should go to jail for putting both of those kids in danger, as well as other people that might have been on the road at the time.
So youre saying Terry (Hulk) is at fault? Thats ridiculous. The kid is 17... thats not exactly young. He's damn well old enough to know his limits, even in a 700hp Supra. Just because his dad gave him a car capable of that speed doesnt mean he has to push it to the limit. Just because the family likes fast Supras doesnt mean his father fully condones illegal street racing and reckless driving. Any car is capable of going well over the speedlimit to a dangerous point...its up to the driver. He obviously trusted his son to some extent to use proper discretion with the car's power. It would be like imprisoning the parents of every throttle happy teen who gets in an accident...
youre saying youve never been tempted to drive wreckless, or race, or speed? is anyone really completely innocent in this aspect? my brother wrecked my moms car while they were on vacation in California... it was a 250hp V6- technically capable of slamming into a tree just as fast as that Supra. Youre saying my parents should be prosecuted for his antics? The Hogan family currently lives in Miami anyways, they moved last year. Hulk probably had nothing to do with this.
side note: anyone in the greater tampa bay area knows clearwater is the worst possible place in the WORLD to try and race... i dont think there are even any 2 lane roads long enough to race on... the beach has the most cramped street schematics ive ever seen.... he could have driven 3 miles off the island, and raced on the seven mile multi lane causeway... like every other person in tampa.... not the smartest move on his part.
regardless, i hope he's alright... you can replace a car, but you cant replace a son. keepin them in my prayers.

come on man, I don't think I need to explain myself further than what I did.
yes I've driven reckless, and above the speed limit.......but I've never gotten a hold of anything that had more than 400 hp.
finally, My dad, my mother...anybody in my family would never give me keys to a car with more than 200 hp.
Terry should take 100% of the blame.
your brother wrecked a 250hp Accord. Nick wrecked a 500+hp RWD Sports car.

Good ol' Court Street...I've been down there many of times and have seen a lot of cars race on that street. It's unfortunate what happened, but you have to be aware of the dangers when going fast. It's his fault for going to fast, but injuring yourself and others is never a laughing matter, so yes I feel bad for the kid, because honestly how many of us have gone way over the speed limit? I see a lot of post here where people say the are going 130mph, and I have, the difference is we were lucky not to be involved (at least I have been lucky) in a wreck at high speeds, but maybe some of you here have been and I dont think it's funny at all...but I'm almost positive we have all exceeded the speed limit, so for those who say "he was going too fast" yes you are right, but think back to yourself, "have I ever gone too fast?" Speeding is dangerous regardless of whether you are a good driver or not, hell driving period can be dangerous, so this kid is young and hopefully his friend recovers and hopefully he has learnt a very valuable lesson
