Reading what Jon said about RHD cars..A couple of days ago I was reading in the newspaper how ICBC was warning everyone to think twice before buying RHD cars, because they might just increase the insurance rate for RHD cars And then the newspaper also mentioned that in BC alone, 200 JDM cars are imported every month, and every single one of them sold out..............No wonder they're trying so hard to crack down on RHD cars..No one wants to buy local used cars anymore The domestic market is being defeated

I've never heard about that thing down at Cranbrook though..Damn, that's just discrimination..For sure they can't rule out RHD, 'coz mail trucks etc are also RHD..But who knows..I guess I just have to make sure that I don't drive the LandCruiser in that area

But anyways, that $10K speeding ticket is just outrageous..I guess 50+ over the speed limit IS excessive, but I dunno...It's just not right...But oh well, come to think of it, nowadays where can you go fast anyways, if not on the track..Traffic is getting worse, and if there is no traffic, ghost cars are everywhere

We the Canadians are cool, but the government is turning into a bunch of ass fuckers (even more so than they were before). Not sure if anyone had read the article, but there was some tool who wanted to crush ANY car that LOOKED LIKE it could be USED for street racing. It was up to the cop to decide if they car should be crushed. Pretty much no matter what you drive can be a "street racing" car. These politicians don't know what the fuck they're talking about. BUT, they will still continue to drive their high-class Audis, BMWs and Benzs no matter what. Fuckers.

I was in Cranbrook earlier this week, I was at a Shell and an RC pulled in and filled his car. I dont know if it was in hopes of ticketing me or what. Maybe when he saw my tag he realised he couldnt get away with anything. But he never gave me a dirty look or anything. So maybe its just a few cops who are hassling everyone. I hope they get caught and get disbanded. Assholes.

ICBC has also been flapping their mouths about this shit for a long time. First they said NO RHD CARS WHAT SO EVER. Now they seem to be dumbing themselves down, but really, when they piss off that many people what else can they do, but shut their mouths and try to comply with the people.

And once again Ron I agree, they are trying to crack down on these cars because they think its robbing the local economy. How the fuck could it be though? 90% of the people who buy these cars have no interest in buying new cars. They support mechanics, pay their insurance and registration all the same, so how can it be different then buying any other used car? Sure the money is going to Japan, but is that any different from some random guy or girl living in the suburbs? NOT REALLY. I understand that the money could be introduced back into the economy, but fuck! Its not going to be going to the government thats for god damn sure! Just people paying people. Its all the same!

I also have no bloody clue on how they can justify hireing more traffic officers. They did here in Alberta, the fucking 'Sheriffs', no justification what so ever. They dont do anything RCMP already did JUST FINE. All they seem to do is give headaches.

If they want to buy Police helicopters, I can kind of see that being good, but only in BIG cities, or in that cluster fuck region of the south east end of Ontario.

Its rediculous in every way, but I'm not too worried, as I dont ever intend on going east of this province, especially in a modified car.

Ontario, being such a large automotive manufacturer, should rather concentrate on forcing automakers to produce cars that are fun to drive @ 50km/h rather than @ 150km/h....

all the new cars, with a few exceptions like the Mazda Miata and Honda Fit, require uber speeds to achieve any driving pleasure...

this reminds me of my 1st car, a Hyandai Pony, that thing felt like death @ 60km/h, and I loved it....no fancy braking systems, no 245 width tires, no 300hp V8 engines, just a light and nimble death machine

True that..They worry so much about people speeding, yet car manufacturers seem to increase their power ratings every year...Just look at it now, compared to saayy...1998? Back then, 200hp in a Prelude was like wow....And now? Minivans have more hp than that! Let alone family sedans, and others...I think all the brand new cars running on the streets right now have an average between 240-300hp, right off the lot..And I'm not talking about "sport cars" like Vettes, Vipers, Lambos etc...I'm talking about cars that people drive everyday!

So you give them all that power under their right foot, but they can't speed? It's like handing a cookie to a child and telling him "if you eat the cookie I just gave you, I will beat the shit out of you...Twice!"

If they worry so much about people driving way above the speed limit, then tell the manufacturers to stop increasing their power ratings! Just cap off the manufacturer's power rating to 200hp or something..That is already more than plenty! Don't worry about us "stupid streetracers"...Look at our cars! We love our cars, we would never do anything stupid to ruin it
