disasemble side mirror

anyone know how to disasemble a side view mirror?

someone broke mine where it swivels (due to vadalism ) just wondering if i can just seperate the covers from the assembly so i can switch it to another head light with a good swivel. so i dont have to have it sprayed to match my car. any help would be nice

only thing i remember from the mirrors are:

3 phillips screws accessed from the under side of the mirror

and if you want to remove the glass from the assembly, i believe you can turn the mirror all the way in/out and you can access another phillips screw behind the glass

I kno theres a way since Mauricio (excalibur02) transferred everything over from his jdm sedan powerfolds to his coupe mirrors. But i'm unsure of the process...it seems like that ring around the main assembly would snap off but i would try to pm him and see if he call tell you how he did his.

alright i dis assembled the mirror casing by bending the mirror around to get the screws in the back. i just need to dis assemble this part any ideas?

i was thinkin of using a flat head and pry it off but im scared i might snap something.
