a wire tuck is a completely custom mod that is always unique... its a very straightforward idea, disconnect every plug, remove every clip, unroute every wire. and then get as creative as possible with where you can run and hide the wires, with doing as little cutting as possible.
many aspects of my tuck are unique to my own car... the way my fans are wired, my removal of the resistor box, conversion to 5spd... every make and model is different, you take the wiring you have and do what you can with it. some people hide the fusebox, some people dont. some people trunk the battery, some dont. some people do the tucking beginning from inside the cabin behind the firewall, i personally didnt. i didnt follow any guide whatsoever when i did mine, as its really not something that you can make a guide for - you can see what other people have done and take suggestions and ideas, but when it comes time to do it, its a solo mission.
if you arent familiar with the car's wiring and where it leads and what it does, it might not be something you want to try. wiring isnt as simple as "install this bolt here", its a networked web of specific connections that need to be made.
plus, my car was sitting for months because of a miniscule wiring issue caused by my tuck, that was hard as fuck to diagnose.
also, the 4 other people that i know that did tucks also had similar issues... my friends actually turned out so bad that we had to tear out the entire motor/bay/dashboard harness and installed a whole new one. it was DONE right, just so many weird issues come as side effects.
its simple, but its not for the beginner...
buuuuut if you want to know how i did mine, i took pictures and explained it along the way, it starts on page 10 of my members ride thread.
