BREAKING NEWS: Bridge Collapse in Minneapolis

Then entire span of a four-lane interstate bridge over the Mississippi River collapsed during evening rush hour Wednesday, sending vehicles, tons of concrete and twisted metal crashing into the water.

The Interstate 35W bridge, which spans between Minneapolis and St. Paul, was under construction when it broke into several huge sections. Dozens of vehicles were scattered and stacked on top of each other amid the rumble.

Some people were stranded on parts of the bridge that aren't completely in the water.

Local television stations captured video of injured people being carried up the riverbank. There was no official word on injuries, but dozens of rescue vehicles were there. Divers were also in the water.

I have a great Uncle and a couple cousins that live up there right in Minneapolis.. My mom tried calling them for like 3 hours yesterday after we heard about it and couldnt get through, turns out they were all fine, they were at the Twin vs Royals baseball game.. They said they heard a huge crashing sounds followed by all kinds of emergency vehicle's sirens and could see the black smoke from the burning cars and trucks. An announcement was made at the game, and they had a moment of silence before the game started, but no one really knew how bad it was until they either saw it or got home and saw it on the news.. Damn, well im glad to hear everyone was safe. Its just an unfortunate tragedy. My heart goes out to anyone who was involved or has loved ones that were involved.
