Furthermore... lol. most things in the car scene start off with one or two trendsetters who do something and do it well... what follows is usually kind of ugly. lol take the cars from the F&F phase there were a few in the beginning of the import craze that were extremely tasteful and werent slow either.... what followed was primer bodykits and everything that needs not be mentioned.... same goes for when someone showed up like 6-7 years ago with the most rare never seen jdm parts... someone said "damn thats hot let me do that, except ill do it the halfass way" of course nobody sets out to do something halfass but most dont care as much about the work that goes into it than to be recognized as "jdm"

the only item i have that is JDM is a front bumper i bought for 80 bucks, mainly because the paint was in better condition than mine.

so no jdm phase for me, only other phase would be a racing phase.

i dunno about others, but i dont mod my car to merely impress others. its all about the satisfaction one gets from knowing what they have done/accomplished with their car and that it is unique in their eyes, and of course being happy with the outcome.

buying a 400 dollar bumper just in hopes that someone will notice it.....is flat out dumb.

honestly though, you dont have to be a JDM freak to notice a good portion of the parts...its just having an eye for different things on peoples cars.


It is what it is, people will love it, hate it, and others could care less. its the same for every style/theme/scene out there. its just that the JDM scene is getting a lot of attention these days. cant deny that.

I would trade my cb for one after I took out the parts I needed. Civics are girl cars ha. Go race a K swapped EG and say that to me again.

lil late for this...but its been debated for quit sometime and there will never be a definite answer. its all about personal preference man. half of the people who like jdm like it because they simply do, while the other half are simply half ass followers

i like JDM and have ever since superstreet and hondatuning featured mad JDMd out civics, i thought "wow, what about "JDM" parts for a old accord?then i found that the stuff was actually practical. I bought my JDM center console for three reasons , its JDM, i wanted a armrest/center console and it was black. I bought the bumper because i think the recessed area is more upscale/ modern looking, then i found out it's ultimate purpose was for the "premium" JDM illuminated lisence plate...It's hard to explain, it's either your thing or not i could go on and on and on here but yeah... I might not go that far, OEM fits so well, aftermarket usually has bad fitment, and isn't as hardy. But if APC was as good as OEM, then yeah

yup, I had tails, corners and bumper lenses and they fit perfect in my eyes with no leaks or fogging. But you do get what I was trying to say tho?

Yeah I do, I just had trouble with an aftermarket headlight on my 90, it had terrible fitment, and even though it was cheap, for a little more I could have gotten a used OEM part, and I've kicked myself since for buying aftermarket pieces.

And on the other hand, every time I get OEM, even used or junkyard OEM, it always fits so well, and I can breathe easy.
