Jazz: Like It Or Not?

I really enjoy listening to Jazz in it's many forms and subgenres. Jazz-Hop, Bebop, Hard-Bop and Jazz-Rap would have to be my all time favorite styles of Jazz. Charles Mingus, Thelonius Monk, Herbie Hancock, Charlie "Bird" Parker, Miles Davis and Donald Byrd are my all time favorite artists from the early 50's to late 60's. Do you any of you guys like or dislike Jazz?

I play tenor sax myself, so Coltrane would be on my list of favorites for sure. Admittedly don't listen to jazz that much though.

I played jazz guitar in highschool. My band was the state champ for years.

I prefer big band stuff myself. Maynard Ferguson, Stan Kenton... I also like the older dance music, like Benny Goodman and Glenn Miller (I have Glenn Miller and Maynard Ferguson in my car right now)

but really, i only like upbeat jazz. there's a lot of blues and classical and its just so boring.
