I would love to have cheaper plans but cingular has pretty good phones and service most of the time plus I just renewed my plan. I want an iphone lol. But its okay my pocket pc will be fine... for now

Okay but seriously, do you/everyone think the Palm Treo 650 is a good phone for just normal people, its affordable, touchscreen, SD slot.

i've tried all the treos and i personally hate them. same with blackberry. the iphone is also a joke so before you succumb to the advertising, understand that foreign phones have been doing what the iphone can do for years. touchscreen phones without a flip design usually don't make it 6 months either due to the scratches they get from going into a purse or a pocket.

but i'll shut up. i doubt we think alike at all. i don't buy into a lot of hype normally.

EDIT: Two of my friends have the a1200 and its pretty nifty, however they can't receive picture messages because of it being unlocked. something about their internet doesn't work right, but I would get it but she doesn't want it because our friends already have them. Yes I know the 650 isn't exactly a new phone but none of my close friends have them lol

it's not because it's unlocked, it's because they need to install the settings on their phone. if they use tmobile, they can go do the "tmobile settings configurator" and use the settings for the v3 razr. if they have cingular, you have to call them and get them to send you the settings. you can manually put them in too, just go to howardforums.com or motorolafans.com and you can dig them up on those sites. it takes all of 5 minutes. cingular is notorious for their unreliable MMS setups. 40% of their phones need attention when they're supposed to be "message ready"

I too have never liked blackberry, the pearl looks nice but all I ever hear about is problems. A guy I worked with always had Treos and thats all he'd ever use. I've had my 8525 for quite some time now and its still in good condition(left front is where I keep it, no other foreign objects allowed in that pocket ha)

I was just kidding... my Jamaican friends do that a lot but it's just part of their accent. I am in no way pro-ebonics.
