    Currently awaiting the word.

OK so yesterday I finally sold my truck, a guy came out and test drove it and pretty much bought it for 2,600 although the delivery of the truck won't take place until Monday night 7/15.

besides that I found this ride:

1997 Honda Accord LX 5-speed wagon:

199,447 miles driven cross country to California and back, NYC numerous times and recently had these replaced:

    Radiator
    CV Joints
    Timing Belt
    Water Pump

Test drove it last night I was amazed at how much grip the original clutch still had.

    The downside?

SRS light is on (600 dollars at the Honda dealer alone just to fix it)
Check Engine light is on as well

That infamous rust is on the lower portion of the right rear passenger door, and around the rear wheel its starting to show.

    Can be had for $2,000

    Second car on my list:

1992 Honda Accord LX 5spd with 220k second owner , clean as all hell and that car is in Mass. Owner wanted to trade it for a VW or Civic, offered him $2,100 and I'm still waiting on his final word.

    Parts replaced:

    Water pump
    Timing Belt
    Alternator
    Distributor
    Radiator

    Downside?

I don't know I haven't seen this car in person to know enough about it before making my decision.

The black 94 that I really wanted unfortunately was sold before I could even call the guy back, which was a bit of a bummer since i really liked it and had talked him down from 3,300 to 2,600.

    Now my question is

Should I rock the wagon? Oh and if I do decide on the wagon the ski racks stay with the guy since I don't want them.

The rust is kind of a turn off, but I LOVE that gen wagon, and the 5 speed is really rare.

As for the CB, if it is clean, it might be more of a runner right off.

My friends 5th gen had a SRS light once, because they didn't include the service jump connector, and we had to unplug it.

The dealer reset the ECU for like $20 or something.

I think they also have a function where the light comes on if they haven't had a diagnostic every 100K.

Eh I skipped on the wag.

I just called the seller on this lil beaut:

No Rust, 166k Stage 2 clutch new t-belt 6k ago and water pump. Will be looking at it hopefully tomorrow.

Wagon is nice but to fix the rust I would've had to source a new skin for the door and all that other fun stuff.

+1 on the rare factor although I did find two other ones in my area with 5spds.

The only thing was the rust was really starting to show around the lip of the wheel well and as much as I would've liked to have owned it, I passed on simply because I do plan on owning the next car I pick up for a good while/ A/C blew ice cold and it had allot of pep to it but that rust just bothered the hell out of me.

This sedan I hope to own by the middle of this week is exactly what I've been looking for and had I not been able to get a hold of the seller I would've ended up buying the wagon.

                      :edit:

I got word on this 93 Accord 5spd lowered with rims.

I offered the owner $2,100...I dunno my mind may change..after waiting all day on this two cars.

                      Decisions Decisions.
