Old video as mentioned. As I recall what happened was that the turbo was getting too hot and burnt straight through the heat shield eventually heating it up enough to set it on fire. Story went something like that.

a car on fire
just saw a car burning around noon today, the firemen were dousing the car
seems that a loan shark threw a molotov into the house, but hit the car, and it kabloommed..
btw, my mum's planning on getting a TFSi Passat..

Dont flame the poster, he never said anything, all he posted was the link.
Sometimes the intended message isn't the message received.
Had he not wanted to imply it, it could have simply been titled "watch this VW catch fire" or something similar.
The title as it was, implied that he disliked them, and was happy that it burned.
2) Please look up the definition of "flaming." At no point in time did I make a personal attack on him, or his statement.
I simply questioned his logic in making a post that makes it appear as though he dislikes VW, when clearly the end result didn't necessarily have anything to do with it being a VW. It could have easily been a Honda, Toyota or Ford.
That was my point.

^^LOL yes they are handy if you do a lot of track racing. Last time I was at track with my friend wrx had a slight engine bay fire. Friend in gsr hatch had an extinguisher handy and put it out. Its useful by the time the fire dept got there his engine woulda beeen gone good thing he had an extinguisher handy.

LOL!
I am feeling you!
I had one in my car because I figured with all the stereo stuff and what not, it would be a good idea, in case something I installed were to catch fire.
I would rather be a "ricer" with an extinguisher than a cool guy with an ashtray!
Seriously though, I also got it because of situations like that. I never thought I would be putting it out on someone else's car, but it is a good thing I had it.
By the time I got the extinquisher out, and got over there, the flames were approaching 4ft over the engine!
They were just standing there watching it burn, because there was nothing else they could do.
Eventually the whole thing would have gone up, and possibly the gas tank too.
