    Well the evo was introduced to the states in 01 right after the 01 phase out of the last gto/vr-4, so there were no other awd car's offered, however the evo was meant to take the place of both these awd(gsx/3000gt) options, so that mitsu could maintain an awd/turbo car in the market.

      i would take a new wrx over a new si in a heartbeat. the wrx definetly looks better than that big bubble. also that wrx growel sounds so much better than the si. As for 5 years down the road with reiliabilty and market value id prolly take the civic. But my decision i would take the wrx for about 1.5 yrs and then trade it in for something else.
