    Undecided Which Car 2 Sell

Well I brought out my caddy in the past few days cause I was thinking of maybe selling the car. But When I look at the car and see all the hard work that was put into the car I cant get myself to sell it. I need to get rid of one of these cars cause My wife wants to get 2 cars for herself. One being her DD car and the other one her classy car. I thought on getting a Auto 4dr sedan Accord for her DD. She is not good enough for stick in traffic which will be constant clutch jobs. So it definitely going to be a Auto. I have currently 3 cars and only one is my DD car and that is the Official Beater Honda Civic. The Accord and the Caddy are not my daily cars. I normally drive the Honda If I go out by myself and Drive the caddy when I take the family out but the burden of maintaining both is taking its toll plus refueling all three is getting costly. Insurance is never a problem since I pay about 700 for all 3 with the Accord having full Coverage thanks to USAA (Military Members). But I cant choose which one to drive. My caddy gives me about 20 mpg and has given me not one problem other then the V-belts constantly drying out The ccord gives me about 29 min mpg depending on how I drive it and doesnt require too much unless I dog it a bit. So I am stuck with 2 dependable cars. The only thing that makes me want to sell the Accord is that Cops constantly stop for every damn thing. I mean custom exhaust. Plate too low or lights too bright or even the After market tail lights and even stop me for BS crap like my car matches the description of a car that left a gas station without paying after filling up. So I am constantly harassed but the morons of South NJ. Which makes me lean towards removing her. Since going to court so they can throw the tickets out and taking a day off with losing pay is getting annoying. I think I have been to every court house south of Trenton. I am stuck on which one should go. I am really venting my confusion since I am at a lost.

I keep a cover over the beater since I dont wash the car. I rather cover it then wash it. Its that kinda of beater. Runs light a dream, All functions work and the AC is cold as Shit. I cant explain how cold this freaking AC is no matter what the temp is outside. But she is one ugly freaking car and I love her. Oh and she has dents but not made by me. I am also not gonna fix them either. LOL

WHY ARE HURRICANES NAMED AFTER WOMEN? CUZ WHEN THEY CUM , THEY ARE WET AND WILD AND WHEN THEY LEAVE... THEY TAKE YOUR HOUSE, YOUR CAR AND YOUR MONEY....!

As the owner of a gashog myself, I'd say sell the Caddy. The CB7 has plenty of luxury, and a lot more performance than a boat! And with gas prices where they are, it's nice to have a fun car that doesn't hit you so hard in the wallet!

That Caddy is really nice though... for such an old model, it looks great.

That Caddy is clean as hell, so I can't knock it... but honestly, most people see those old Cadillacs as beaters anymore. They aren't old enough to be classics, and they're not new enough to be respected. Hold onto it and baby it until it becomes a noteworthy classic... or just let it go because it's an impractical boat.

Of course, you're on a cb7 enthusiast site, so the responses will be biased... unless, of course, you get responses from people who have "seen the light" and realize how truly pathetic and crappy cb7s really are. That being said, sell all your cars and pick up a turbo neon. You won't regret it.

Yeah a turbo neon is cool too. I love too see caddy's hooked up mainly because of the fact that you can get respect from them as long as its done right and not half assed but thats to be said by any other car. But its all good wether you want ot be fast or slow or allmotor or practical or pimp. you can throw some fuzzy dice on it throw some D's on the caddy maybe a nice system in it will do it right. And those cars can take a hit and barely have a scrape on it than a honda or any other car because back in the days those older model chasis can take accidents and not even show as much damage as a practical modern jap econobox which is made of mostly plastic against steel.

And you dont have to worry about leg room in that car and its just as comfortable to ride in it with plenty of space in the trunk and room in the bay. Id get a caddy if i was that serious into it just to say i had one. My grandmother has one and she still does and shes 70 that car is in florida and is garaged up and it looks like it left the showroom. As for the slow reach and grab about turbo neons dont knock it until you try it. And i gotta laugh at that, now laugh at this. Turbo neon I prefer to call it srt4 know the name and remember this srt4 loved by those who knew it,hated by those who coudlnt catch up.

No offense or anything, but there are many cars that are far more plastic than "jap econoboxes." For some reason, neons keep coming to mind...

Besides, I would rather have a car where the people survive an accident than the car. Cars are replaceable. Even old rare Cadillac cars.

                  People are not.

Modern cars crumple because they are designed to absorb the impact so that the occupants don't.

If you don't believe me, look at the crash results for a Civic vs a Suburban.

Bottom line: the Civic is safer.

Personally, for me, it would be a hard choice. Since you don't drive it much, the gas is probably not too much of an issue, and you can't deny the qualities of a big car like the Cadillac in terms of ride or style.

In just a few more years, that will probably start to get to classic status. Hell, they are getting rare now.

But then the CB is more practical in most cases, so I guess it just depends.

The main question is: what do you enjoy more? If you sell the CB7, you lose the sporty ride. If you sell the Caddy, you lose the classy ride. Do you want an import tuner, or a classy boat? When the caddy hits classic status, if you can keep it looking as nice as it seems in the pics, it'll be a treasure. However, after driving my GTP (which is probably sportier than the caddy) I can understand how large of a gap there is in terms of handling performance... I HATE driving the GTP when I want to do any sort of spirited driving (that isn't in a straight line... on the highway from about 50-80 it's a blast)

That, or just tell your wife that if SHE gets to have 2 cars, you should keep your 3

                      Thanks for the replys guys

To sell one is like chopping off one of my legs. To me both seemed like one since I used one for single driving and the other for the family outing. I rather sell both then keep one since having 1 will not do both jobs which is zip threw town or provide a sort of luxury with the family. I kept these two the longest out of all the cars I owned. It makes sense to her to sell one since they both get rarely driven but what my wife fails to understand what the hell I did to maintain them both. She is a Airplane Mech but she has no feeling or connection since a plane isnt something she can own. If you know what I mean

The oldest pictures I could find of the cars

The caddy picture is very very old before the rust and dents too effect
The honda picture is the oldest I could find ATM

Hey Dev are you no longer a MOD or Admin? I could of swore you was one

The only picture of the 20's I have. They didnt last long since it destroyed my pitman arm twice in 6 months & just too shitty of streets in NJ/NY.

The admin can change his title (I'm still the boss around these parts ) I'm finding it interesting how differently the new members talk to me without that "administrator" in my title. I hate when people kiss up to me.

It's a hard decision. The two cars are so totally different... and I can completely understand your appreciation for each for what they are. Hell, I want a Miata for the handling, a Trans Am for the raw RWD power, an FC turbo for the crazy rotary and turbo, and a 5 series for civilized luxury (with a sporty soul)... in addition to my CB7 The list is actually longer than that, too!

Perhaps the best bet is to sell both and use the money to buy something that combines the two. Lexus SC300 with a manual transmission? It's luxury, it's sport, it has 6 cylinders (so it's between your 4 and 8 now ), it has a manual transmission and RWD. You can put 20s on it, or you can put some Volks on it. It's an import, but it's technically also an American-only brand (for now, anyway).

the caddy is still pimp though. But if any big car can survive a hit its more of the caddy than a honda imo its more sturdier. The material they made that cars chasis out of its just more stronger than a economycar.
