    Ok, I think I'm finally going to get into WoW (World of Warcraft)

    My friend is an absolute addict... and he let me create a character on his account the other day. I must say, it's pretty cool. I played Guild Wars before (because it's free ) and I lost interest pretty quickly. However, WoW seems to be a MUCH better design. Worth the monthly fee.

    Of course, I'm cheap I want to find a cheap copy of the game. Are there any WoW addicts out there that would know where to find it cheap? I know you need a valid CD key to create an account, so you can't just burn or download a copy... which sucks. Honestly, they should make the software free, and charge for the accounts!

      I love RPGs, but I usually like the story-based ones like the Final Fantasy series. The HUGE sprawling multiplayer things usually turn me off... still, this one really is as good as the hype, at least from my limited experience!

      I just went to the website and they have a 10 day free trial... not sure if that's the full version of the software or not...

          As someone who has a friend whos into it, Id advise against it Mike, it's consumed one of my friends pretty badly that he can't live without it. We'll go out for a beer or two at a local bar , and then go back to his place and after about 15 minutes he's back on playing constantly, pretty much doesn't want to be interrupted while playing.

          I tried getting into it but eh, I face enough hell from the wifey because I spend too much of my time here lol.

          Just my 2 cents.

              I'll definitely have to conciously keep from getting consumed by it. My wife complains about me being on here too much (and she's right...) so that certainly won't help! Still, kept to a safe amount of time, it could be fun

                  Thats the full version, so no need to buy the retail copy.
                  The only thing on the trial your limited too....

                  What restrictions apply to trial accounts?
                  The following restrictions are placed on all trial accounts:

                  * A level cap of 20.
                  * A maximum of 10 gold.
                  * Trade skills are capped at 100 ranks.
                  * Inability to trade via the auction house, mailbox, or player-to-player.
                  * In-game chat channels will be unavailable.
                  * A limit on the number of tells that can be sent.
                  * Realms with login queues will give priority to customers with retail accounts.

                  Also, pick a PVP server you will have much more fun.

                    my friend got sick from staying up all night and not sleeping and devoting every second of waking ife to it, the doctors had to give him sleeping medication, and he had withdrawls from it.

                    you have been warned.

                              I played WoW for a while. I am also a FFXI player (the mmo of final fantasy) so i have some knowledge on MMOs. Anyways, if you decide to make that game ur #1 priority then it will consume you, it has alot to offer, and it is a fun game, but you have to remember it is a game.

                              I had an account on WoW, but after a while, i got bored of it. Its the same crap over and over again, not much of a story or plot like a Final Fantasy game, and to me, the rewards of that game are not compelling enough for me to waste my life on.

                              Im back on FFXI, but I dont play it as often as i use to. In all honesty, those games get boring after a good 3 months of play or so. Once you get the hang of it, it loses its "shine".

                              Lastly (i can go on and on about this but i dont want to), its a waste of some sort. You pay 15 dollars a month which could go to other more respectable things, and you will be spending less time in the "Real world". No matter what age you are, making an MMO a priority where it consumes you, in to which you need to play, takes you away from the actual world where you need to interact and help others around you.

                              Im done, kinda rambled and prolly made no sense at some points, but thats my opinion.
