i woke up this morning, and "Legends of the hidden temple" was on.

it made me think of how interactive nickelodeon used to be. there used to be all sorts of shows where the kids were either trying to go through some maze, or answering questions to get prizes. now it's all lame ass cartoons and shit.

At least they still show cartoons! Nickelodeon is an MTV company, so I'm actually shocked that they haven't progressed to "kids reality TV"

I don't know for sure, but I think they still have those gameshows on the Nickelodeon GAS (Games And Sports) channel. Some of those shows were cool, but they got a little much as well. There was one gameshow after another after another... That Legends of the Hidden Temple was one of the cooler ones for sure though!


I'm actually a fan of a lot of the cartoons they show now. Fairly Oddparents is hilarious, Danny Phantom is well written, The Avatar is just one kickass show, My Life as a Teenage Robot is cool, Martin Mystery... well... that one is lame

Well, you've got a headstart on fatherhood. I'm familiar with all of the aforementioned shows. (i know themesongs, characters, etc...). I actually think that AVATAR is a GREAT SHOW! I almost bought the first season on DVD the other day. My kids were egging me on. We watch Nick, Disney, Noggin(not so much anymore), and i'm required to own EVERY children's movie on DVD as part of my fatherhood contract....

Nick ALWAYS had their really kiddy shows... Dora is more educational than the oldschool ones, but they were there. The original Blues Clues with Steve? Eureeka's Castle? Now I'm going WAY back... Pinwheel? Today's Special (on, not REALLY kiddy there... that one was kinda cool). The Adventures of the Little Koala (I would watch that now if it were on).

Spongebob is decent... not as deserving of the insane popularity as believed, I don't think, but it's an interesting concept.

This Greg Baldwin better be good. The uncle is one of the illest characters on the show. He displays an amazing balance of power and humility. Zuko could learn alot from dude and become a great leader if he listened a little better. I could almost see Zuko being cool with Aang, but only afer Aang whoops his ass almighty avatar style. Really and truly, he's had a few chances to do some serious damage and didn't. I don't think he really wants to do Aang any harm.

I really like Toph. She got alot of attitude and Skill.
Azula, Ty Lee and Mai make a ill trio as well. Some Deadly b!tches.
The show actually has some very strong female characters...
