6 point speeding ticket... I called too late to plead not-guilty, now it's postponed

The same thing happened to me....well sorta..

I was speeding...I was doing 120 in an 80 (everything is in KM/H) but the cop reduced my speed to going 100 in an 80 so the ticket wasnt as big...I still couldnt afford to have the points on my record so what I was gonna do was plead guilty but with a reason...not sure if you can do that....I figured that since the cop had already reduced my ticket once theres no point in pleading innocent ...Usually when you plead guilty with a reason they either reduce the ticket or not give you any points.

Well i thought that I had another week till my due date of the ticket and when I showed up to court they told me my ticket was past due and at that point they told me there isnt much that I could do now other than pay the ticket.

So I not only had to pay the ticket but because I already have two previous tickets on my record I now have to have a meeting with some people and explain to them why I shouldnt loose my license...Sweet deal eh?

This is also all in Ontario so I would think that New Jerseys laws would be a bit different...but none the less good luck and Im sure that writing a letter couldnt hurt your case as long as you dont put in an admission of guilt...as has been said.
