FINALLY after a set of pads and shoes, 2 wheel cylinders, and all new springs for the drums. and 1 new rear wheel stud.

i passed my inspection and emission. im so happy.

most east coast states have an inspection you must pass to operate your vehicle on public roads.

they make sure your lights work, everything is welded properly, brakes operate safely, tires are in good condition, everything is in tip top shape.

they get strict about it too.

it really is. especially since most of those places HATE modified cars. with a passion. they fucking ran into something and cracked my front bumper. they fuckin scraped my muffler.

then they have the nerve to FAIL IT. i was like, fine, you fuckers wrecked it so it wouldnt pass, fix it till it does and ill pay you for it. but you will call me before you do anything and allow ME to authorize it so you dont charge me for tons of stuff.

they put 4 new bulbs in and slapped a pass sticker on it... LOL.

in reality it's really not that annoying, i mean why would you wanna drive around on somthing that has no pads on the brakes left and bald ass tires...usually something liek that i fail it...if i see a at 2/32" i will fail it to even though it technicaly passes but you know it aint gonna get him through next year anyways so he mite as well get the brake job done, rotors cut the complete LOF trans service front and rear diff service that been over due by 20k miles leaking water pump on a caravan hmmm i love milking the shit outta these cars..

i have to admit i am a victim of the bald tires.

bald tires up front + needing alignment + horrible bump steer + rain + slick highways = losing control at speeds above 65

lets say i changed those very fast.

i passed inspection, it was callled an extra 50 bucks to the inspection shop and i got it done nice and quick lol.

my stickers for both inspection and emission was 60 total.

but its wat i had to get in order 2 pass was the bitch. dependin on wat shops u go 2 they'll check for cat etc. 3 shops turned me down cuz my car was to LOW. so i went to some 1 else. for the emission test, its jus a gas cap test. and visual on the exhuast. last yr i didnt have 2 get anything cuz my car was good but this yr i had trouble.

so ya i changed pads etc.
i spent like 30 bucks cash on parts. and about 40 worth of other parts that were under warrenty

last yr my prob was my tailights. i tinted them and the guy said he cant see it. WHEN i can c it he was bein a ass. but sometimes u jus gotta hear peoples crap. ITS their shop.

one of the guys that turned me down started to criticize my car. sayin y i molded my bumper 2 the body of car. that no 1 else has it , y did u paint ur interior. people dont wanna take ur car cuz its not painted its in primer. all this BS i was like man that has nothing to do with inspection.
so u gotta find the coo shops around thats all.

Sound to me like these shops are afraid that they'll get busted for passing your car since they figure there's more going on than meets the eye. Out here in Cali they'll send undercover guys to the smog shops with cars that don't pass to see what happens. I wouldn't be surprised if the same happens in other states.
