    watcha think so far(pics)

Just installed a 6.5 in the middle of the back seat, cut a hole, drilled it into a peice of wood behind the seat to secure it. i like it, also started painting the door panels, and I also painted the ebrake cover(yet to do ebrake) and the other center console part. was tan, painted black.

I did the same thing with my 10" sub in the back seat but I ran into a problem. When i cut the hole I measured from the back and the metal supports in the back are not perfectly centered so now my sub is not quite even.

just becareful when you paint your doors because the paint will tend to chip rub off as for what happened to my door. i gotta redo it all over.

i'm suprised some of yall dont like it more, i think it looks good, sounds way good too.

as for the the panels, they don't chip on me, but they get kinda sticky when its hot, i put hella clear coat tho. if you use flat black it doesnt stick as much too.

put a speaker grille over it and paint it tan and it might actually look "OK"

Cool idea man, reminds me of the jdm prelude optional rear speaker...however I agree that putting a speaker grille on it and it will look more clean.

The way I would've done it, I would've upgraded 92-93 seats where the middle part flips down for a rear armrest and put the speaker behind that. That way it will be hidden until u use it (which might be all the time) But what if you a 3rd person needs to sit in the rear? They will have a speaker giving them a back massage then. Props for originality!

Coupes don't have the center armrest? I know all sedans do.

the center console looks pretty good, I'd prefer a flatter black but that's me.

the speaker I would've put behind the fold down armrest that my sedan has like Kurobei mentioned. but I bet its kind of cool for the soundfield. I've thought about trying out the center seat speaker, but I think I'd go with a couple 8" subs just for kicks.

It has a grill over the speaker it's just hard to see in the pic, i'll consider paintin it tan though. And I dunno about other coupes, but mine didnt come with the armrest, dunno. I do wanna get 92-93 seats tho, i been keepin my eye out for black/grey ones.

but i try to not have a third person in the back seat, cause its a coupe, an its already lowered, that many people i'll bottom out over any bump. but the speaker seats slightly indented into the seat, so it wouldnt push into your back if you were to sit there, but it would affect the sound thats it. I wanna put my other 6.5 below that one, but there isnt much room behind the seat where i drilled it into a peice of wood i cut. If i had money for subs I might put one in that spot.
